We are about creative learning opportunities for both experienced and novice landscapers. With a focus on attaining ecological safe projects, EcoTech strives to find great opportunities to work in the community to help create environments that sustain themselves through pro-environmental planting. Here at EcoTech, you get the chance to see first-hand some of the innovative methods used to construct and conserve entire ecological systems in and around the Southeast region.

EcoTech has a place for landscapers with very little experience to this with more expertise. If you are a seasoned landscaper, work with our team of experts to contribute to our growing wealth of knowledge or learn something new from our team of professionals. For newbies, working with us can be enjoyable and rewarding as you get the benefit of a first-hand introduction to environmentally health methods of beautifying and conserving the Earth.

Creating sustainable spaces requires a lot of motivation and energy. The sun is hot and long workdays require a certain level of physical fitness and ability. For this reason, not only is it necessary for you to be in good physical shape, but you should also be healthy enough to complete all the requirements that go along with physical labor, in addition to having the stamina to endure working largely outdoors throughout the year. Our employees are also expected to have the skills to work as team players but also to take the initiative in contributing to the team when needed.

Currently we have open positions for the following opportunities:

Job Title: Crew Leader

Job Description: EcoTech Environmental, LLC is seeking motivated, punctual, and safety
conscious individuals to join our company.

  • Manage/supervise maintenance and planting crews
  • Plant native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous material in reclamation/mitigation areas
  • Control terrestrial and aquatic nuisance weeds
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports
  • Operate spray equipment and motorized hand tools (weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.)
  • Perform repairs on equipment as required

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school
  • Must be able to handle outside elements
  • Must be able to work in and around water/wetlands (This is a physical job in outdoor conditions. Applicants MUST be willing and able to work under adverse weather conditions and potential exposure to biting/stinging insects, snakes, alligators, and other potentially harmful animals and plants)
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to obtain MSHA and CPR certification
  • Bilingual preferred
  • EcoTech Environmental, LLC is a drug free workplace

Hours: Full time

  • Monday through Friday 40+ hrs.
  • Must be willing to work Saturdays on occasion

Salary: Competitive pay based on experience

This position requires a person who is self-motivated, organized and has good leadership skills. A valid Florida driver’s license is required. Being bilingual is definitely a plus, but not mandatory. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

Overseeing and improving daily functions of the nursery, operating irrigation systems, growing of native species including trees, shrubs and plants. Some knowledge of operating nursery equipment including tractors, ATVs, spray equipment, potting machine, etc. We will train.

This position requires an individual who can safely operate mechanical equipment including tractors, skid-steers, mowers, ATVs and other like equipment. Some light mechanical maintenance experience performing is and could include light welding, vehicle maintenance and safety inspections. A valid Florida driver’s license is required for this position. We will train.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

Assist Crew Leader in preparing/loading vehicle, attend and pay attention.  to the daily safety meeting, assist Crew Leader in assessing site conditions and be aware of any potential field hazards. Perform work as directed by Crew Leader.
